Finally after 3 months after the ride, here comes the trip log. Well they say, its better late than never :p

When was the last time you did something for the first time?

- few days before the ride I read this line somewhere on the net and struggled hard to remember one such thing which I did recently. But now after BN second annual meet, I have plenty to say.

  • First ride spanning more than 1000 KMs.
  • First group ride – 13 riders for 350 KMs & 19 riders for 30 KMs
  • First rain ride – soaked in rain and rode for 250 KMs.
  • First ride spanning 20 hours of continuous ride (including tea/coffee, brunch, butt breaks)
  • And lot more :)

Highlights:

Total distance covered: 1470 KMs in 4+1 days

Total travel time(including breaks – Day 0 to 4): 2 + 12 + 12 + 2 + 20 = 48 Hrs

Fuel: 30 ltrs (approx) – 1600 Rs

Average: 48 KMPL (approx)

Route and distances:

Day 0 – 28th Sep’06: Bangalore – Nelamangala – Kunigal (90KMs)

Day 1 – 29th Sep’06: Kunigal – Hassan – Belur – Mudigere – Charmadi – Beltangadi – Karkala – Udupi (340 KMs)

Day 2 – 30th Sep’06: Udupi – Kundapur – Honnavar – Karwar – Canacona – Panaji – Calangute (360 KMs)

Day 3 – 1st Oct’06: In and around Calangute & Panaji (30 KMs)

Day 4 – 2nd Oct’06: Calangute – Panaji – Karwar – Karwar – Honnawar – Sagar – Shimoga – Tumkur – Kunigal (650 KMs)

    Kam: abe it was around 22 hours for us! Yours also should be more than 20 hours!
