It brought back memories from many years ago when I had the opportunity to visit this wonderful place. Legend has it that once some thieves entered the temple at night and packed all the jewelry therein and when they tried to exit, a tiger and a bear appeared outside and kept the thieves inside. We ended up going to Ooty and coonor. Very enjoyable bike ride!

Remember to take Bandipur root to Ooty (Not the Madhumalai route, as the roads are really bad).
