Wondering where is this place, at last I figured out it’s next to my Farm house (3kms), Thanks for providing details about the place.

BTW I am also from the nearest village Lakkenahalli, we are organizing 1 day trek to Virupapura from my Farm house.

Interesting, that Rama built a Shiva temple there. The quarry is a tragedy, our inability to preserve our treasures is a great frustration.
