It is not Nelija, it’s Nelaji.
Igguthappa is not Subrahmanya. It is Eeshvara. It may be Vignesvaranda Appa metamorphasised as Igguthappa in the local tongue, Kodava Takk.

there is a lot of misconception going on…kodavas are not hindu’s ..kodava itself is a religion..we kodavas believe in our elders(karanu)..only the kings who ruled us long ago influenced hinduism….HAIL KODAVA’S

Arun, it was pretty huge. Diameter was more than 2 ft. Two of us tried to ring it, but were not able to move the tongue more than half way through.
