I Was Here: Markonahalli Dam
May 25, 2011 I Was Here

Markonahalli, always reminds me of my childhood. A small dam built across the river Shimsha near Kunigal taluk, is very close to Huliyurdurga where I grew up. One of our favorite picnic spot (Deepambudhi and Kumbhi betta were others), where we used to spend whole day playing the water or in the park.

London Glimpses: Landmarks – Part 1
May 7, 2011 London, Photo Essay, UK
For rookie or recreational tourists, any major tourist place means a set of well known landmarks. Travel plan for them revolves around these predefined stop-overs. Weekends during my six month long stay at London meant roaming aimlessly around the buzzing city. Here is first set of the glimpses –

Tower bridge (quite often confused with London bridge) – during first two months of my wandering around, most of the times I ended up here.

London Eye, the tallest Ferris wheel in Europe

London Eye during day time.

The Big Ben

Houses of Parliament

Lords, the home of Cricket
