The last journey of the year 2007. And it was my first visit to Nandi hills, in search of the Tippu Drop. The plan to visit Nandi was decided on the previous day at 9.30 PM. And as pet the initial plan, we were supposed to reach the top of the hill by 6 in the morning to catch a glimpse of Sunrise. But we were late in starting, and reached Nandi only at 7.45. Not only we missed the sunrise but also the mist covered mountain top.
As soon as we got down, the four of us split and roamed around aimlessly for almost an hour before regrouping for breakfast. After filling our stomach it was time for us to explore the place – Yoganandeeshwara temple, Tippu drop, Nellikayi basavanna and then a quick nap at the view point 😉
I missed the mist covered mountain top. Maybe I’ll go there to catch them.
How to get to Nandi Hills:
There are different routes to reach Nandi hills – via Doddaballapur and Devanahalli. Suggest you to go via Devanahalli as the road conditions are better.
