It is blasphemy, if you don’t visit a castle when you are in the land of castles. After many postponements, finally I paid a visit to Crathes castle, near Banchory in the Aberdeenshire. This sixteenth century castle was built by the Burnetts of Leys.
Though the castle is a small one comparatively, the vast 500 acre castle estate offers trails for wonderful long walks. And another point of attraction in this castle estate is ‘Go-Ape’ (http://goape.co.uk/), the tree-top adventure course.
Crathes castle, estate and the Go-Ape adventures are an ideal day out, provided the weather is with you 🙂
