As I settled down in my seat for a short flight to Goa from Bangalore for the Renault Lodgy event, I couldn’t help but think about my previous visit to the smallest state in India. That was a completely unplanned road trip, crisscrossing Karnataka and then over to Goa. The only plan we had was to reach Goa and come back in the 5 days that we had. After unscheduled stops & unplanned deviations, we entered Goa on the third day of the trip and then began our beach hopping. After few halts, we reached Cabo De Rama late afternoon. The place was deserted sans one or two small groups scattered around. With the sea breeze coming over, we settled in a nice cozy corner with shade to shake off our exhaustion due to too much of traveling around. The next couple of hours were spent in silence. We looked like a group of hermits – not worried about the future, no regrets about the past, just gazing at the horizon at those tiny boats.
That short time spent in silence sort of replenished our energy levels to continue with the unplanned trip. (I haven’t written about that crazy unplanned road trip yet, except about the visit to Gudavi Bird Sanctuary. I’ll be writing about it soon.)
Goa has many such hidden beautifies, but most people won’t go beyond beaches and bars
True that Shrinidhi. There are so many hidden gems in that little state.
