As the subject says, I’m in the heritage city of Karnataka – Mysore, on an official visit. As I’m going to stay here for 3 to 4 weeks, I’m looking for places to visit in and around Mysore, that is apart from well known places like KRS, Palace or Chamundi; I’m looking for less known places here in Mysore. My preference is for the places which can be visited in 3 to 4 hours time including travel.
If you are aware of any such places, please drop a note below in the comments
Thanks in advance

There is KRS backwaters called “Blue Lagoon” (Not the official name I suppose, but locals call it that way) The road is quite bad, but the place is so serene and beautiful.
One more not so famous place is a place (forgot the name) where they are refurbishing a submerged temple near KRS. Its a nice place too!
